Bicol Pili Tarts' Model

For the last months of JP's 2011, his bread and butter came from selling authentic Pili Tarts from Bicol.
He had buyers from neighbours, churchmates and also totally stranger from the on-line market community.
What can I say, the yummy taste explodes in the mouth!
The first Pili Tart teaser propaganda.
I did some research about the pili nut to make this post a bit informative and here are the results of my query:

Pili nuts are abundant in the Bicol region, thus giving opportunity to Bicolanos to cook native delicacies out of the Pili nut.

Canarium ovatum,  commonly known as pili (/p.l/ pee-LEE), is a species of tropical tree belonging to the genus Canarium. It is one of approximately 600 species in the family Burseraceae. Pili are native to maritime Southeast AsiaPapua New Guinea, and Northern Australia. They are commercially cultivated in the Philippines for their edible nuts.

Pili nuts with shell.
"The pili tree (Canarium ovatum Engl.) isindigenous to the Philippine archipelago and grows primarily in the bicol region. It is an extremely hardy tree and its fruit is somewhat jurassic in appearance. The fruit (often called a nut but is technically a drupe, according to Doreen Fernandez in Fruits of the Philippines) is about 5-6 centimeters long and has a think black skin when ripe. Under the skin is a fibrous (hairy!)greenish pulp. The very hard pointed shell houses the oily and yummy nut within. It is the nut within that most Filipinos think of when you say Pili Nut."

The Pili Tarts that JP sells came from one of the best Pili Tart manufacturer in Bicol, must I say.
He got supplies from his relatives at Bicol the  which is delivered to his house once a week.

These PILI TARTLETS (tartlet - a mini tart), have a creamy custard made of pili nuts that is topped over a thin and crunchy shortcrust pastry.

Now for the fun part:

To show gratitude to one of the bulk buyers, I made these simple layouts of our friends.  It meant as a thanksgiving layout, but also to add zest of fun to the quiet page of Cyber-Tindahan.  And yeah, also an opportunity to market JP's product.

So I hope you  get a good laugh with the metamorphical effect of the exquisite taste of Philippines Pili Tarts!

Enjoy the images below!

The feeling of beauty in every bite!

The taste of fine art of patisserie. (The guy on the right is the actor from Baker King.)

The smile in every bite! :p  (I don't know if this will help the marketing strategy.
But hey! It's fun (a personal resbak to Adi.)

Even the Apple Guy was a part of the Pili Game.
(Just kidding.  I made this during Steve Job's 'death mania'.)

This Pili Tart with its right sweetness and warm crunchiness is available at Cyber-Tindahan Shop.

They sell it at Php 150.00 per pack (50 pieces of  1 1/2" diameter tartlets) and offers discounts to bulk buyers.  (Very much cheaper compared to the price in the Manila-mall-market.  Mainly because they get a direct supply.)

You can contact them on the details provided on their page.
A tip, please be sure to order a week ahead so your tarts can be reserved.
Believe me or not, these tarts really sell when they are available.

Try it! :j  You'll go nuts over the taste of this tart nut!
